At the scene of a fire, it may be hard to imagine that darkness could be so prevalent. One might think that all the fire and flames would provide all the illumination necessary to see. This is not necessarily the case. Fires are often confined to particular rooms and behind closed doors. There could be a raging fire on one side of a wall and total darkness on the other side. Thus, a good stream light flashlight is essential for seeing all the possible hazards and pitfalls that a firefighter might face on any given job.
