How
to Request a Formal Bid
We understand the bid
requirements most
departments have for large
orders. Large volume orders
often allow us to offer
additional discounts to our
already low prices. We are
experienced at preparing
formal, professional bids
that you will be proud to
show to your boards.
To inquire
about receiving a formal
bid please fax your bid
packet to 800-338-0267 or email it to customerservice@american-firehouse.com.
Or
click
here to Email us
your questions/information.
What items are available for
formal bids?
All of the items available
on the website are available
for bid. In addition to the
5000 + Items listed on line
we have access to thousands
more from a variety of
vendors. In short we have
access to most anything you
need.
Purchasing on Account
We understand the need of some fire departments to purchase
Fire Equipment without a credit card. That's why we set up a system to allow Departments
to purchase Fire Equipment on account. Instead of entering a credit card number you enter
a PO number of your departments choice & we send you a bill after the items have shipped. Click Here to learn more.
What is the difference
between a Quote and a Bid?
In short a bid is a more
formal process. Bids
normally have a specified
start and end date, and
arrive in a sealed envelope
sometimes containing a
performance bond. Bids tend
to have more information and
are targeted in helping
departments present the
item(s) to their boards who
may not have back ground to
understand the item(s) being
bid.
A quote is a less
formal process. You tell us
what items you need and we
will send you a quote
containing our best price
and any additional
information you might need.
We can generate quotes much
faster and fax and email
them to you, generally the
same day that we receive them.
